Keep McAllen Beautiful to host 13th annual Arbor Day celebration

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Keep McAllen Beautiful will be hosting its 13th annual Arbor Day celebration this fall.

The celebration features a run, bike and walk event for those interested in personal health and the environment. According to a news release, the event will help increase awareness of the importance of planting and caring for trees in McAllen.

The event will begin with a 25 mile/100k bike ride, followed by a 5k run, a 10k run, a kids run and an ongoing tree workshop.

The celebration will take place on November 2 at Westside Park and registration for the event is now open.
