Keep Brownsville Beautiful invites community to cleanup event

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Keep Brownsville Beautiful invites the community to its cleanup event.

The event is part of the non-profit's goal to make Brownsville a cleaner and greener city.

Brownsville Mayor John Cowen encourages residents to bring a loved one to participate in the Great American Cleanup.

The event will happen from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 10, at 1295 Cottonwood Dr.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome.

Cleaning supplies, snacks and water will be provided on-site.
