Julian Longoria to be sworn in as new Rio Hondo Public Safety Director

RIO HONDO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A swearing-in ceremony will be held Friday evening for the new Rio Hondo Public Safety Director, Julian Longoria.

Longoria most recently served at the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

Since 2011, Longoria has worked in various roles for the sheriff's office, including his time as a criminal investigator and as a training officer.

"We are confident that Mr. Longoria's experience and dedication to the profession of law enforcement will immensely benefit the City of Rio Hondo Police and Fire Departments and the City of Rio Hondo as a whole," the City of Rio Hondo announced.

The Rio Hondo City Commission will swear in Longoria at 5:30 p.m., Friday, July 11.
