Johnny's True Value second location remains open amid fire investigation

EDCOUCH, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A local family-owned business is working to recover from the loss of its building, which was destroyed by a fire early Tuesday morning.

Johnny's True Value Hardware Store in Harlingen was deemed a total loss after crews spent hours extinguishing the fire.

In the aftermath of the fire, Johnny's has received an outpouring of support from the community to help the business move forward.

The team at Johnny's says one way to continue showing support is to visit their second location in Edcouch.

"While we may not have everything we did at Harlingen, we will greet you with a smile and work hard to get you what you need," Johnny's True Value announced. "Showing up and still doing your shopping with Johnny's will help us."

The second Johnny's is located on 401 W. Santa Rosa Ave. in Edcouch.

The cause of the fire at the Harlingen location has not been determined, as a fire investigation is underway.
