Indie-pop band The Marias to perform unique sound in McAllen

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Popular American indie-pop band, The Marias, are coming to McAllen.

The band is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, at the McAllen Convention Center at 700 Convention Center Blvd for its Submarine Tour (Extended).

The Marias are known for their alternative music, which contains elements of dream pop, jazz, pop, psychedelia, Latin, and lounge.

Lead vocalist Maria Zardoya is beloved by fans for her one-of-a-kind voice that brings out a soothing mood, as well as her range of English and Spanish lyrics.

The most recent album, Submarine, received high critical praise and debuted at number 17 on the Billboard Top 200 during its release week.

According to Spotify, the band has over 30 million listeners, with their top three most streamed songs being "No One Noticed," "Ojos Tristes (with The Marias)," and "Heavy."
