McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The International Museum of Art and Science, in partnership with the Corning Foundation, hosted a STEM Learning Day on Saturday.
Event organizers told ValleyCentral the event is set up as an all-day hands-on learning opportunity for participants who want to explore STEM fields.
"We know that our job here is to be a part of the community, and to serve the community, and every child that comes through these doors, every family that comes through these doors has the opportunity to be inspired, to change their future," said Anastasia Perez, Director of Development and Marketing for IMAS.
Perez added, this is the first time the museum has hosted an event such as this and hopes to organize more in the future.
