IDEA San Benito Robotics Team to compete at world competition

SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The IDEA San Benito Robotics Team is set to compete at the Worlds Competition.

IDEA San Benito College Preparatory is excited to have its Robotics Team compete in this VEX VS Robotics World Championship.

The Championship competition is set to take place May 6 through 8 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.

The team secured their qualification through a series of regional competitions, demonstrating exceptional skills in design, engineering and teamwork, according to the school.

The eight-person team is excited to take their skills to this level for the first time. They are set to compete against 800 high school teams from around the world.

"We are honored for our team to represent IDEA Public Schools on the international stage," said Basilio Pesina at IDEA San Benito College Preparatory. "Our students have worked so hard for this moment, and we are very excited they will get to showcase their talents."
