WESLACO, Texas – The Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects is hosting an RGV Chapter Launch Mixer in Weslaco on Thursday, July 31.
The event takes place at Uncle Chop’s Food Court on Border Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“Join us for a relaxed and engaging evening as we introduce the leadership team behind I-LinCP’s Rio Grande Valley Chapter,” said Brian Godinez, president of the RGV Chapter of I-LinCP.
“This is a great opportunity to connect with industry peers, learn more about our chapter’s mission and upcoming programs, and find out how you can get involved. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to I-LinCP, we’d love to meet you.”
The leadership of the RGV Chapter of I-LinCP has been named. In addition to ERO Architects’ Godinez as chairman, the leadership team comprises Brian Delgado of Halff Associates as vice president, Courtney Wilson Villarreal of D. Wilson Construction as secretary, and Oscar Garcia of Broaddus Associates as vice president of programs.
To celebrate the launch of its RGV Chapter, I-LinCP is currently offering an exclusive 30 percent discount on all new and renewing memberships. The discount will cease at midnight on July 31.
“Now is the perfect moment to invest in your growth and connect with a vibrant local network, at a fraction of the cost. Let’s build something great together,” Godinez said.
The mission statement of I-LinCP is: “To evolve the capital projects industry through sharing of knowledge for optimized leadership, delivery, and performance.”
I-LinCP was founded by San Antonio-based architect Carol M. Warkoczewski in 2008. She is the group’s chief vision officer.
“I conceived of having a Leadership in Capital Projects (LinCP) Forum in early 2008 as I contemplated the question, What would it look like if the key stakeholder constituents involved in capital projects got together to talk about contemporary design and construction issues in a collaborative way?” Warkoczewski said.
