WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — One person is in custody after turning himself into police overnight, claiming he killed a woman in Weslaco.
According to Weslaco police, at 2:30 a.m. a man walked into a police station in Alamo, claiming he had killed a woman.
Alamo police called Weslaco police, who then responded to the scene at the 600 block of W. 11th St. and found a woman's body inside the residence.
Authorities do not know the relationship between the suspect and the woman who was killed at this time.
Additionally, the identity of the suspect and victim are not being shared by police yet. A spokesperson for Weslaco PD said that a preliminary investigation indicates that this is an isolated incident.
Authorities do not know the exact time of this killing but are speaking with neighbors and others to gather more information on this homicide investigation.
