Hidalgo County PCT. 3 hosts event for essential supplies distribution

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hidalgo County Precinct 3, Driscoll Health Plan, and Esperanza de Tajas will host a free drive-through essential giveaway on Friday, April 4.

The goal of the event is to offer free essential supplies, such as newborn/baby items, toiletries, and cleaning supplies, to families in need. 

The event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hidalgo County Precinct 3's Road & Bridges Office, located at 8310 W. Mile 7 Rd. in Mission.

Those eligible include expecting mothers, families with children under the age of 18, and households with special needs children under the age of 20.

It is a drive-thru event, and residents are advised to stay in their vehicles while volunteers load pre-packaged essentials into the car.

Items may include diapers, baby wipes, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. No registration is required to participate.
