Hidalgo County Health Clinic vandalized while under construction

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hidalgo County officials are asking for leads to locate suspects involved in vandalizing a community resource center in Mission.

Precinct 3 County Commissioner Ever Villarreal says he is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest for the vandalism.

The vandalism happened at the 1900 block of N. Los Ebanos Rd. in Mission.

"It’s disheartening to share that our under-construction Community Resource Center & Hidalgo County Health Clinic—a project dedicated to bringing vital resources to the people we serve—was recently vandalized," Villarreal announced.

Villarreal shared censored photos of the vandalism, saying the graffiti was vulgar and inappropriate.

"We want our community to see the impact of this destruction," Villarreal continued. "We won’t let this setback stop us from serving you. Together, we can protect and uplift our community."
