HCSO: Human remains found in Edinburg

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant and found human remains earlier today.

The search warrant was at the 4600 block of E. Wisconsin Road in rural Edinburg, authorities said.

The search resulted in the findings of human remains, according to Sheriff Eddie Guerra. Authorities believe the case started in San Juan.

The investigation began as a missing person that led to a murder case, Guerra added.

The Sheriff's Department held a news conference outside of the home Friday evening.
