ALAMO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The death of a missing woman found in rural Alamo Sunday has been ruled as a homicide, the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office announced.
At 1:13 p.m Sunday, deputies responded to a call of a dead body found at the 2300 block of N, Cesar Chavez Road in Alamo.
A Justice of the Peace ruled the death of 52 year-old Laura Mckeown as a homicide.
Mckeown had been reported missing since Feb. 15, authorities add.
She was last seen in the area of Cesar Chavez and Sioux Road in Alamo, ValleyCentral reported. Mckeown was a carnival worker who expressed a desire to return home to Tyler, Texas.
