Harlingen PD to host kids CBA State Championship grill-off

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Registration for the Harlingen Police Department's CBA State BBQ Championship Kid' Que remains open to children aged 5 - 15.

Parents or guardians are not required to be registered in the HPD State BBQ Championship. A Pork Chop (raw), a BBQ Pit, and an apron will be provided.

At 4 p.m. on June 13, Pork Chop (raw) pick-up will be held at the CBA BBQ Judging area at Bass Pro Shop. Regarding food safety, please be prepared to handle and transport food to prevent contamination.

Additionally, at 9 a.m. on June 14, the start of the kids' que will begin (Fire Up BBQ pits). At 10 a.m. on the same day, the kids' que is expected to end, and all cooked pork chops need to be turned into the CBA BBQ Judging area.

The HPDA State BBQ Championship will be taking place at the location of Harlingen PD.
