Harlingen PD: Staying safe during spring break

2 months ago 58

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Sgt. Sal Carmona spoke with ValleyCentral's Danielle Banda about being safe during spring break.

From parties on the beach, and alcohol, to pedestrian safety, local law enforcement urges drivers and spring breakers to be vigilant of one another.

Sgt. Carmona urges the public to make plans ahead of time. He reminds us that local, county, and state law enforcement will double up on patrols during spring break.

If you plan on drinking, designate a driver to take you where you need to go. Drivers and pedestrians should look out for each other. Use designated walking areas to avoid a traffic collision.

Use light-colored clothing when walking in areas where there is low to no light present.

For more information reach out to Harlingen Police on Facebook or call (956) 216-5902.
