Harlingen fire crews extinguish roof fire at Pizza Patron

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen Fire Department responded to a roof fire at a Pizza Patron earlier today.

At about 2 p.m., Harlingen Fire Chief Rafael Balderas said there was a fire on the roof of a Pizza Patron, located at 806 N 13th Street.

Balderas said crews were working on roof and threw some tar. He presumes that due to the heat, or some outside factor, the tar caught on fire.

The employees working inside the Pizza Patron called the authorities to report the fire.

Authorities say no injuries were reported.
