Harlingen comedy show to benefit flood recovery

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Comedian Mario Salazar is hosting a free, family-friendly event at the Moon Rock to help the community recover from recent heavy rainfall and flooding.

The event features comedians Mario Salazar and Raymond Orta, followed by a band playing '80s and '90s hits.

The Boys and Girls Club will be raising funds for affected families. Attendees can support local food trucks and donate at the event.

Salazar emphasized the importance of community coming together post-flood and shared personal anecdotes about the impact of the storm.

Salazar invites the public to the Moon Rock from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, April 4, at 1811 W. Jefferson Ave. in Harlingen.
