HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen City Lake trail will be closed for two weeks as it undergoes trail improvements, according to the Harlingen Parks and Recreation Department.
The Harlingen Parks and Recreation's public notice says city crews will be repaving and improving the path, allowing the community to have a 'smoother, safer trail soon.'
"We've already commenced the resurfacing of our walking trail here. It's about 2700 meter feet that was going to get resurfaced," Parks and Recreation Director Danny Diaz said. "We're projecting to add a bike lane on the north side of the lake."
"We ask the citizens, just to be patient with us," Diaz added.
All work will be weather-permitted, and access will be restricted.
