Harlingen CISD hosts Lower RGV Special Olympics track meet

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen CISD on Wednesday hosted the Lower Valley Texas Special Olympics Track and Field Meet.

This year's competition was held at J. Lewis Boggus Stadium and brought together athletes from the area for this one-day event.

"The best part about this is just seeing our students showcase their skills and their abilities to the rest of the delegations and to all our guests who are here with us, like parents, coaches, and staff," said Oziel Ochoa, Special Education Director for Harlingen CISD.

The district says it is honored to host this event for a second year and encourages the public to show their support for all these amazing athletes.
