Harlingen Animal Shelter in need of volunteers

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Harlingen Animal Shelter is asking for the public's help with volunteers.

The shelter recently opened its doors and is asking for volunteers who will feed, play, clean up, and take care of the shelter's pets in hopes of getting their pets adopted.

"Just the enrichment you get from being with the animals. I think the more love and compassion they receive from the volunteers, including us, is just the best thing for these animals at this point," said Anthony Ruiz, shelter adoption coordinator.
