H-E-B Feast of Sharing in Weslaco: Food, fun, and community

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The city of Weslaco is set to host its 23rd annual Feast of Sharing event on Friday, Nov. 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where over 4,000 meals will be distributed to the community.

The event, organized in partnership with H-E-B, aims to bring the community together for a day of food, entertainment, and celebration.

The Feast of Sharing is not limited to those in need; it is open to everyone in the community as a way to kick off the holiday season. Mayor Gonzalez emphasized that the event is about more than just providing meals; it's about community spirit and togetherness.

"It's a celebration of the beginning of the holidays," said the mayor. "Everybody's invited, and it's just a great way to come have a meal, get some entertainment, and mingle with people there."

Volunteers are encouraged to participate, with opportunities available through the city's website.
