Grease spill causes lane closures in Mercedes

MARCEDES, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A grease spill in Mercedes is causing lane closures and plenty of congestion on the roadways.

Eastbound I2 in Mercedes between FM 1015 and Mile 2 will be closed for at least two hours after a rollover crash caused a grease spill on the road.

The Texas Department of Transportation is working to clean up the spill.

TxDOT cameras show traffic is already starting to back up.
