GBIC hosts Careers and Coffee Job Expo with top companies

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation (GBIC) is hosting a Careers and Coffee Job Expo on Thursday.

To be held at the Brownsville Events Center, the expo will about 80 companies, looking to hire for about 7,000 jobs.

Gilberto Salinas, executive director for GBIC says there will be opportunities to network with companies such as SpaceX, Bechtel, NextDecade, and Rio Grande LNG.

"We're looking for a great event and really just for people to get hired because workforce in the Rio Grande Valley is really the backbone of economic development," he said.

In addition there will be resume assistance, free professional headshots, and on-site interviews.
