GALLERY: The Great American Solar Eclipse viewer submissions

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Great American Solar Eclipse is almost here and ValleyCentral wants to see your photos and videos.

People across the Rio Grande Valley are getting a first-hand look at the rare total solar eclipse.

Texas is one of the lucky states to be in the path of totality, followed by 14 states. The eclipse will be visible throughout all 48 contiguous states, according to NASA.

ValleyCentral wants to see your photos of the eclipse. You can send them to share@valleycentral.com and your photos can be featured on air and on our social media.

Once you submit your photos we will email you a user-generated content form to get your written consent to use your photo.
