McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The South Texas Comic Con saved the best for last, by announcing its last round of guests weeks before the convention.
The three-day convention will be held from Friday, April 25, through Sunday, April 27, at the McAllen Convention Center.
Mexican-American comedian and man of many voices Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, is coming back to the Valley as a featured headliner for the 2025 South Texas Comic Con.
Iglesias is best known for his comedy specials on the TV network Comedy Central and streaming platform Netflix.
Not only is he a master storyteller on stage, but he has also played several roles in film and television.
With his talent in voice acting, he has brought to life the characters of Speedy Gonzalez from Space Jam: A New Legacy, Coco, The Nut Job, The Book of Life and others.
On Thursday, the South Texas Comic Con also announced two featured guests from the Netflix live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ian Ousley and Maria Zhang.
The following actors have been announced for this year’s Comic-Con:
- David Hasselhoff, the legendary actor from Knight Rider, Spongebob SquarePants, and Baywatch.
- Luis Carreño, a Spanish voice actor known for his roles as Bob Esponja in the Spanish Dubbed series Spongebob SquarePants, Perro from CatDog, Justice League and many more.
- Dee Snider, a singer, songwriter, actor and screenwriter.
- Juliette Lewis from Yellowjackets, MA, From Dusk Till Dawn, and more.
- Theo Rossi, known for his roles in Sons of Anarchy, The Penguin and more.
- Emilio Rivera, known for his roles in Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C., Venom, Flamin’ Hot and more.
- JD Pardo, most known for his role in Twilight, Mayans M.C., High Potential and more.
- Valente Rodriguez, Edinburg native who brought to life the roles of Ernie in the comedy series George Lopez, Cesar in Happily Divorced, Principal Gutierrez in High School Musical The Musical The Series and more.
The NBC 23 and CBS 4 team will be going live from the convention on Friday, April 25, for its evening newscasts.
