BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The first day of school is approaching, marking a new opportunity to start on a positive note and in style.
To help students kick off the new school year, the Cameron County Sheriff's Office and the Brownsville Police Department are hosting a back-to-school event.
The event will offer free haircuts and free school accessories for all students while supplies last.
Students will also have an opportunity to meet officers and participate in activities for a chance to win prizes.
The back-to-school event will begin at 5 p.m. Monday, August 4, at the Brownsville Events Center, located at 1 Events Center, Paredes Line Rd.
