HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Alfred Molina from Driscoll Health Plan stopped by the ValleyCentral Studio to discuss the upcoming Healthy Kids Day event at the McAllen Nature Center.
The event includes cooking classes, health presentations, obstacle courses, and sensory-friendly activities to encourage outdoor exploration.
It is free and open to all, part of four large events hosted by Driscoll Health System.
In addition, Molina highlighted the Texas Children and Nature Network's backpack program, which provides themed backpacks with outdoor exploration resources for children, available at 12 local libraries.

The event aims to keep kids active and engaged during spring break.
