BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — SpaceX could launch its fourth Starship as early as June 5, according to its X post.

SpaceX announced the potential flight date, adding that it is pending regulatory approval from the FAA.

This would make for the quickest turnaround between Starship test launches, at 83 days, with there being a gap of 212 days from the first and second launch, and a 117-day gap between the second and third.

This comes after a report that SpaceX made a request that would allow for future Starship launches while previous mishap investigations are still open.

FAA: SpaceX requests launch during ongoing mishap investigation

In a statement sent to ValleyCentral, the FAA stated that SpaceX made the request for a "public safety determination" on April 5.

“If the FAA agrees no public safety issues were involved in the mishap, the operator may return to flight while the mishap investigation remains open, provided all other license requirements are met,” the statement read.

ValleyCentral will bring updates as the launch date nears.
