BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Four adults and one minor were arrested Tuesday for allegedly running a stash house, Brownsville police announced.
On Tuesday, officers from the Brownsville Police Department executed a search warrant at the 1100 block of Calle Terrestre after receiving a tip that the residence was involved in the selling of illegal drugs.
Cristo Rey Rodriguez, 25, Victor Saldaña, 18, Naomi Capuchino, 25, Santos Ruben Saldaña, 23, and a minor were arrested and taken into custody for the following charges:
Rodriguez and Victor Saldaña
- Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance PG 1 >=4G<200G (11g Cocaine): 1st Degree Felony
- Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity: 1st Degree Felony
- Tampering With Physical Evidence: 3rd Degree Felony
- Possession of Marijuana: Class B Misdemeanor
Capuchino
- Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance PG 1 >=4G<200G (11g Cocaine): 1st Degree Felony
- Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity: 1st Degree Felony
- Possession of Marijuana: Class B Misdemeanor
Santos Ruben Saldaña and the minor
- Possession of Marijuana: Class B Misdemeanor
All four adults were arraigned Wednesday. Rodriguez and Victor Saldaña were each issued bonds of $227,500. Capuchino was issued a $202,500 bond, and Santos Saldaña was issued a bond of $2,500. The juvenile was transported to Darell B. Hester Juvenile Detention Center.
The Brownsville Police Department's anonymous tip line, Crime Stoppers, played a large role in these arrests. Brownsville PD encouraged citizens to report suspicious activities to Crime Stoppers at 546-TIPS.
