Food Bank RGV hosts Empty Bowls Paint Party on Aug. 16

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley is hosting its Empty Bowls Paint Party kickoff on Saturday.

Attendees can paint bowls, enjoy food, and music. The painted bowls will be used at the Empty Bowls event in October, which aims to raise awareness about food insecurity.

Mark your calendars for Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel McAllen Airport.

The food bank serves 93,000 individuals weekly, with 98 cents of every dollar going directly to programs. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
