Firefighters battle flames at Brownsville Border apartment complex

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Brownsville Fire Department is battling a structure fire at an apartment complex.

The incident occurred Monday morning at the Border Apartments at the 300 block of Media Luna Road near Frontage Road.

According to a social media post by the Brownsville Fire Department, fire officials advise the public and residents to stay clear of the area.

The Brownsville Police Department said all residents in the affected area have been safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.

Officials say access to the apartment complex is restricted as emergency crews continue their response.

Drivers are advised to reroute their commute as Media Luna Road and Frontage are temporarily blocked off.
