Fiesta de Palmas: Enjoy family fun with food and music

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Joe Garcia with the city of McAllen talks about the upcoming Fiesta De Palmas from Oct. 17-19.

The annual McAllen event begins at 5 p.m. on Friday with food, music, and many activities.

"We're gonna start with music on our main stage and more on other stages. We have a market and a carnival as well. So lots to do, lots to eat, lots to experience. The Mercado is something that people love to do, and plenty of areas to take pictures in," said Garcia.

Other events and booths include the H-E-B Pumpkin Patch, EduFiesta, and Beer Around the World Festival, and much more.

Friday is completely free. Saturday and Sunday, as well, between noon and 4 p.m., are completely free.

However, after 4 p.m., it's $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or fiestadepalmas.com, or on ticketmaster.com.
