McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The annual Fiesta de Palmas celebrations are back, filled with local flair, music and food for the whole family to enjoy!
The three-day event is taking place at the McAllen Convention Center, located at 700 Convention Center Blvd, at the following times and dates:
- From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17.
- From noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.
- From noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19.
The three-day celebration is filled with activities throughout the festival, such as the H-E-B Helping Here Pumpkin Patch, where families and attendees can do photo ops or take the perfect pumpkin patch photos, as well as take their favorite pumpkin home courtesy of H-E-B.
For those who love to dance the night away, Fiesta de Palmas has set up a Silent Disco! Attendees can grab a headset, choose a channel, and dance under the stars with the live DJs playing their favorite genres! This as many more activities scheduled at the Fiesta De Palmas event!
Fiesta de Palmas has a whole lineup scheduled throughout the weekend, starting with Friday, with the following performers:
- Rising Tejano star, Chrisitan Valdez
- Social media talent, Alta Ralea
- Genre-bending artist, Alberto Cruz y El 956
- The Valley's next big global acts, ENCANTO
On Saturday, Fiesta De Palmas has the following artists scheduled to perform:
- High-energy Monterrey rock artist, Los Estuches
- The future of Tejano and Latin pop, Vanita Leo
- A fusion of cumbia, punk, corridos, and Tejano, Los Juanos
- A blend of Spanish rock, indie and pop, Arzlez
- The Valley's premier DJ, JonWayne Eaden
- Local student musicians, School of Rock
- Breakout indie rock band, VORTXZ
The Fiesta de Palmas is bringing out the following artists to perform on the last night of the festival:
- The Valley's up-and-coming country band, Double Cut
- Houston-via-Austin artist, Andrea Daniela
- Folk Americana-pop artist, Sedona
- Rising indie pop artist Angelica Garcia
To end the night, Fiesta de Palmas has a scheduled fireworks show over the McAllen Convention Center.
Friday night will be free admission, Saturday and Sunday will be free admission until 4 p.m.
Tickets to enter the festival will be $10 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster or the official Fiesta de Palmas website.
