FEMA opens flood recovery center in Sebastian

SEBASTIAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be in Willacy County operating a Disaster Recovery Center for those affected by the March floods.

Beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sebastian at 434 W. 9th St., FEMA will be assisting county residents who qualify with:

  • Temporary housing
  • Emergency home repairs
  • Uninsured or underinsured personal property losses
  • Disaster legal services
  • Disaster unemployment assistance
  • Medical, dental, and funeral expenses directly related to the disaster

Residents can apply for FEMA assistance by visiting www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362.
