SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of San Benito is partnering with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist residents impacted by the March flood storm.
FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be in San Benito to help residents apply for federal disaster assistance and answer all questions.
"We got hammered. Anywhere between 18 and 22 inches of rain. That's a lot in so little time," said San Benito Mayor Ricardo Guerra. "A lot of people got affected because of the flood. So now, trying to get their lives back is hard."
The San Benito center will open Friday, May 29, at the city's annex building on 705 N. Bowie St.
Doors will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
