MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The FBI arrested a man after he was allegedly caught with more than 200 gigabytes of child pornography.

Eron Garza, born in 1998, was arrested by the FBI on a charge of receiving child pornography, federal records show.

On April 25, special agents with the FBI received a search warrant to seize digital devices at a residence at the 5300 block of N. Ezequiel Street in Mission. On May 1, special agents and members of the McAllen FBI C-7 squad executed the warrant, where they identified Garza inside, a criminal complaint stated.

Garza was described as hearing impaired, and agents communicated with him through handwritten notes.

Agents asked Garza for consent to search the digital devices in his room, which he agreed to. During the written discussion, agents asked Garza how large his collection of child pornography was, in gigabytes. Garza replied, "50-100," the complaint stated.

Agents asked him when he began watching the material, to which he replied, beginning six months ago.

The agent asked Garza why he started downloading child pornography. According to the complaint, Garza responded, "no reason and I am idiot."

Garza opened the digital folder to show the agents, which showed a video of a girl approximately 8 years old engaged in sexual conduct. Authorities estimated that one folder had more than 200 gigabytes of child pornography.

Records show that Garza has yet to make his initial appearance in court.
