Everything Gilberto Salinas said at the Greater Brownsville Tech District groundbreaking

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – A groundbreaking ceremony was held May 22, 2025, for the eagerly anticipated Greater Brownsville Tech District.

The huge new industrial park is located on FM 511 between Old Alice Road and Paredes Line Road in Brownsville, Texas.

When fully built out the park will cover 770 acres. But the build-out will be completed in phases. The first phase, covering 86 acres, will see 13 lots built, which, combined, will provide 1.3 million square feet of industrial space.

Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation CEO Gilberto Salinas says he expects the park to be of interest to the Space sector, along with Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, and even, potentially, AI companies. Here is a video recording of the remarks Salinas made from the podium:
