SAN JAUN, Texas – Pharr-San-Juan-Alamo ISD recently host a re-opening celebration for the Dr. Daniel P. King PSJA College & University Center in San Juan.
When the PSJA board of trustees first approved the building of the center they envisaged it being home to the PSJA Academies and the PSJA Collegiate School of Health Professions. After being under-utilized for a few years it is now fit for purpose.
The Dr. Daniel P. King PSJA College & University Center has been newly remodeled. It now serves as a college-styled campus for students engaged in specialized programs in partnership with higher education institutions such as South Texas College.
In addition to a ceremony for the re-opening of the center, there were campus tours, and a reception to commemorate the growth and continued expansion of PSJA’s academies.
Among the speakers was PSJA Superintendent of Schools Dr. Alejandro Elias. Here is a video recording of his remarks:
