Emergency supplies tax free weekend April 26-28

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Comptroller's Office announced the 2025 Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday weekend.

With hurricane season around the corner, this weekend, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on April 26 and running through April 28, is the time to stock up on preparation supplies.

There is no limit on the number of qualifying items you can purchase, and you do not need to give an exemption certificate to claim the exemption, according to the state comptroller's website.
