Edinburg waives building permit fees for residents impacted by storm

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Edinburg is assisting residents impacted by the recent storm.

Edinburg city is waiving building permit fees for roofing and home repairs directly related to storm damage.

Fees will be waived starting Tuesday, April 1, through Tuesday, April 15.

"Our goal is to support our residents in recovering from the devastating effects of the rain that swept through our region," said Mayor Ramiro Garza Jr. "By waiving these fees, we aim to alleviate some of the burden and help our community get back on their feet."

Residents who need assistance with the waiver program and inspections can contact the Edinburg Building Safety Department.
