EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The city of Edinburg is looking for participants for this year's Veterans Day parade on Nov. 8.
According to the city, this year's parade will feature a vibrant display of patriotic floats, traveling along a route that begins at 9:30 a.m. at Richard R. Flores Stadium, located at the intersection of 1800 S. Stadium Dr. and Mark Peña Dr., and will conclude at Closner Boulevard and Kuhn Street.
The parade includes a 'Most Patriotic Float' competition, with trophies awarded to the top three entries.
The event is free and open to the public. Eligible entries must utilize pick-up truck beds, farm wagons, flatbed trucks, or trailers.
A $250 fee is required for political entries, including incumbents.
