Edinburg police to host 'Coffee with a Cop' session throughout October

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Edinburg Police Department is hosting 'Coffee with a Cop' sessions throughout October to strengthen community ties.

Residents are invited to join Edinburg police officers for coffee and conversation at various locations, providing an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns.

If you missed the Oct. 3 session, there will be four more.

Dates and locations:

  • Oct. 10 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at McDonald's on 401 E. Trenton Rd.
  • Oct. 15 from 8 to 10 a.m. at El Caporal 2 on 2400 E. Richardson Rd.
  • Oct. 17 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Starbucks on 2720 W. University Dr.
  • Oct. 27 from 8-10 a.m. at Starbucks on 525 E. Trenton Rd.

Making these gatherings extra special, the Edinburg Police Department's newest member, Domino, a friendly four-year-old therapy dog, will be there to meet and greet the community.
