Edinburg police: Motorcycle rider dies from injuries sustained in crash

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Edinburg Police Department has confirmed that a motorcycle rider involved in a crash on Tuesday has died from his injuries.

The motorcycle rider, identified as 35-year-old Adrian Mario Garza of McAllen, was involved in a collision on Trenton and McColl Road.

Police say Garza was traveling eastbound on Trenton Road when a black Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound on Trenton Road. The Malibu attempted to turn south onto McColl Road and allegedly failed to yield the right of way while turning left and collided with Garza, according to police.

Traffic in the area was temporarily rerouted as a result of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Edinburg Police Department.
