Edinburg Police Department holding blanket drive for residents in need

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Edinburg Police Department is currently collecting blankets for residents in need across the Rio Grande Valley.

The police department is asking the community to drop off new or handmade blankets at the following four locations:

• The Edinburg Police Department, located at 1702 S. Closner Boulevard. in Edinburg
• First Lutheran Church, located at 302 S. Sugar Road in Edinburg
• First Baptist Church, located at 201 E. Samano Road in Edinburg
• Plenitud Center, located at 701 W. Eldora Road in San Juan.

The final collection day is Friday at the First Baptist Church location from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
