Edinburg PD hosts auto theft prevention event

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Edinburg Police Department hosted an event Wednesday centered around vehicle safety and crime prevention.

Project 365: Auto Theft and Burglary Prevention is a free community event that was held at the Edinburg Municipal Park.

Police put on the event as part of the department's ongoing effort to protect the public from auto thefts and vehicle burglaries.

Officers at the event offered hands on demonstrations and helped share valuable tips to reduce these crimes.
