EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A student at Edinburg North High School is being recognized for earning a perfect score on the PSAT.
The PSAT is a preliminary exam that can help high school students prepare for the SAT, college applications and scholarships.
The exam focuses on reading, math and writing skills.
Raymundo Martinez, a junior at Edinburg North, was praised by the district for his perfect score and excellence in his extracurricular activities.
Martinez has achieved the following during his time at Edinburg North High School.

- National Hispanic Scholar
- Division 1 at State Solo and Ensemble
- All-Region Band Member
- Vice President of SNHS
- AP Scholar with Distinction (8 AP Exams)
- NHS Member
- Science Bowl Competitor
- Regional Competitor in Science and Computer Science
