HIDALGO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — U.S. Customs officers arrested an Edinburg man wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for child molestation.
On Friday, Juan Manuel Pinon, 51, arrived from Reynosa at the Hidalgo International Bridge and was arrested when a CBP officer discovered Pinon was a possible match to an arrest warrant.
In secondary inspection, officers utilized biometric verification and confirmed Pinon's identity along with the active arrest warrant from Starr County Sheriff's Office, according to a release.
CBP says Pinon has been wanted since May and is being charged with child molestation and child fondling.
Pinon was transported to Starr County Jail.
