Edinburg CISD investigating staff member at Robert Vela High School

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District is investigating allegations involving a staff member at Robert Vela High School.

In a statement sent to ValleyCentral, Edinburg CISD stated it is aware of the allegations against the staff member.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation and have taken immediate action in line with district policies," Edinburg CISD stated.

The district stated it cannot comment on the specifics of the investigation at this time.

"We are committed to handling this matter with the utmost seriousness and discretion," the statement reads.
