EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Edinburg announced roll-off containers for bulky items and brush collection are available at the Edinburg Recycling Center.
Items can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through April 15.
Items accepted:
- Brush: Tree branches and shrub trimmings
- Tires: Regular size x4 and 18-wheeler x2
- Plastics: Pools, ice chests, flower pots, toys
- Wooden/Plastic furniture: Sofas, mattresses, chairs, tables
- Lumber/Plywood/Sheetrock/Carpets: Small amounts
- E-Waste: TVs, computers, monitors, car batteries
Items not accepted:
- Refrigerators
- Hazardous Materials or liquids: Pesticides, household cleaners, motor oil
- Flammable Liquids: Gasoline, kerosene, lighter fluid, diesel fuel
The city says this is only for Edinburg residents. The landfill is located at 8601 N. Jasman Rd. and the recycling center at 3102 U.S. Highway 281.
