EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man accused of leaving the scene of an auto-pedestrian accident involving a teenager is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
The hit-and-run occurred Tuesday morning at the North McColl Road and West Schunior Road intersection.
Authorities say 69-year-old Edinburg resident Dennis Bullard struck a 13-year-old girl who was walking to school.
Police located Bullard after a witness at the hit-and-run scene provided the suspect vehicle's license plate number.
The teen was immediately transported to an area hospital, where she was treated with non-life-threatening injuries.
Bullard faces charges of collision involving bodily injury and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
His arraignment is scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Edinburg Municipal Court.
